Following our recent food distributions, we have received over one hundred malnourished children in urgent need of support.

These children, are aged between 3 and 13 years old. We have 73 children aged 3 to 5 and 122 between the ages of 6 and 13. There are 114 girls and 81 boys, for a total of 195 children. Eighty-nine of these are orphans (unaccompanied minors); 64 are separated from their parents and living with relatives listed under Categories 3 or 4; 42 live with their parents, who also have been listed under Categories 3 or 4.

Among them are also children with disabilities.

We continue to receive requests for help from more children each day.

The support of our early donors has created a big impact in the community. Not only has it brought relief to the most vulnerable, it has also shown that our organization is brilliant and reliable, inspiring hope and trust.

As a result, international organizations have visited us to vet and validate our CBO and have expressed willingness to work with us in partnership. We are awaiting official confirmation, but are very hopeful to have found more allies in our quest to keep our community safe and progressing toward self-sufficiency.

At the moment, we are recording the children’s details and providing counseling to encourage them not to lose hope despite their challenges.

We kindly appeal for more assistance to continue supporting these vulnerable children, the elderly, and adults who are struggling with hunger and malnutrition.
