Rosanna Sylvestro
Rosanna Silvestro lives in Sydney, Australia and met the members of DES, V.V. and YEDA from Kakuma Refugee Camp through online networks in early 2021. Over the years Rosanna Silvestro, the founder of Origins Permaculture Education & Research, has worked primarily with communities in West Africa and has aimed to build value within the Permaculture community by supporting education and professional development. Origins Permaculture Education and Research harnesses a successful history of grassroots training and activism to encourage informed cooperative efforts.

Meg Walker and Morey Bean
Meg Walker is an architect, planner and creative place maker. Now semi-retired, Meg was Senior Vice President of Project for Public Spaces. She now teaches placemaking management at the Pratt Institute. Morey is an architect and public artist. Now semi-retired, he founded and operated the Colorado Architecture Partnership and was honored as the American Institute of Architects’ Colorado Architect of the Year in 1999. He now collaborates with Native American community members in Colorado, including placement of “The Soldier’s Veil”, a protest covering of a Civil War Monument in Boulder for Indigenous Peoples’ Day in 2019.

Anna Fuerstenberg
Born in a refugee camp outside Stuttgart, Germany, Anna Fuerstenberg’s plays and film scripts have been produced in Canada and abroad. She has directed theatre in several languages and on several continents. She is one of the founding members of English Language Arts Network of Quebec. She has also written short stories, poetry, book and play reviews. Anna acted in productions at the Dark Horse Theatre in Nashville, the Tarragon Extra Space in Toronto, and in Reading Hebron in Montreal. She recently completed working on a lead role in a Quebec film.
