Your Support Matters: A Heartfelt Thank You

Spread the love

Dear Partners, Friends, and Supporters of Development and Empowerment of Society,

On behalf of the DES community, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who generously donated toward the Food Fund initiative. Your support, kindness and compassion have brought hope to vulnerable families and, most importantly, to children who are facing daily hunger challenges. Because of your support, lives are being touched in a practical and meaningful way. Thank you for standing with our community.

How We Put Your Support To Work

At Development and Empowerment of Society (DES), we strongly believe that effective support must begin with listening. Before implementing any activity, DES organizes meetings with community leaders to discuss the real needs on the ground and to agree on the best way to help.

During our recent consultation meetings, we engaged local leaders and representatives to assess the most urgent needs related to food insecurity. We conducted deep discussions and carefully reviewed the situation affecting households.

Focus on Children: Supporting The Most Affected

After a thorough analysis, it became clear that children are the most affected by hunger. Many households are struggling, and young ones often suffer the most when food is insufficient. As a result, we decided to begin cooking meals specifically for children. This approach allows more little ones from different households to gather and benefit from the program at the same time. By centralizing the cooking and distribution, we are able to reach a greater number of vulnerable children efficiently. This intervention is already helping to save lives and prevent severe hunger among children, especially during the most difficult days.

DES is working to provide famine relief and to teach permaculture principles to the children.

Moving Forward

We are committed to continuing this initiative and expanding the number of children served as resources allow. Your continued support will enable us to:

  • Increase the number of children benefiting daily
  • Improve meal quality and nutritional value
  • Sustain the program for a longer period
  • Reach the most vulnerable households.

Once again, thank you for your generosity and trust in DES. Together, we are not just providing food, we are protecting children, preserving dignity, and building hope for a stronger community.

With sincere appreciation,

Kadjosi
