I am reaching out to you on behalf of the refugee community, which is currently facing an unprecedented crisis that threatens our very survival. Recent changes in the World Food Programme’s assistance have severely limited our access to food, leaving many of us in a dire situation.
This month, each of us has been allocated merely 1.5 kg of maize, 0.5 kg of sorghum, and 0.5 liters of cooking oil for an entire month. This drastic reduction in food supplies is far from sufficient to meet our nutritional needs, putting us at severe risk of hunger and malnutrition. The reality we are facing is grim – without additional support, some of us may not survive.
As refugees, our opportunities to provide for ourselves are extremely limited. The constraints of our situation leave us with few options to secure additional food, making us heavily reliant on the generosity of individuals and organizations who can offer assistance.
In this moment of desperation, we are turning to you, our potential good wishers, with a heartfelt plea for financial support. Any contribution, no matter how small, can make a significant difference in our lives. Your support would enable us to purchase essential food items to supplement the insufficient rations we currently receive. This assistance is not just about providing food; it’s about offering hope and the chance to survive through these incredibly challenging times.
